Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. Take the time to travel down some unmarked roads – you will find some places only the locals will know about.
Shaun and Sally Beard (September 2018)
We’ve had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage – warm, well equipped, comfy beds, very clean, some lovely edible treats on arrival. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
The Spriggs family (August 2018)
We have had a lovely two weeks at Gellideg. There were a lot of highlights but we especially enjoyed our ‘rib ride’ to see the dolphins and seals with ‘A Bay to Remember’. Fantastic experience! Thank you. We will recommend.
The Fuller family (August 2018)
This was a last minute, spur of the moment booking for us. It does seem such a fitting place to retreat to – so peaceful, still and beautiful, a great balance to what can be the hectic pace of ordinary life! We have loved our time here at this lovely cottage – especially getting the evening sun from the hammock! Thanks again.
Matt and Miriam Smith (July 2018)
Having stayed in holiday cottages throughout the UK for several years this was one of the best appointed we have found. Our daughter loved the toys and the hammock in the garden and we loved the beaches at Mwnt and Penbryn. Cilgerran Castle and Wildlife Centre were a real find. Many thanks for a fantastic stay – we will be recommending you!
The Cooper family (July 2018)
It will be hard to leave the wonderful peace and lovely cottage and garden. It has been a much -needed break and we haven’t ventured far but enjoyed woodland walks, a visit to Cenarth Falls and two coastal path days.
The Faulkners (July 2018)
We have had a fantastic time, sitting in the garden listening to the birdsong whilst swinging in the hammock. Our son really enjoyed playing with the toys and reading the books. Thank you for the lovely cottage, particularly the soft furnishings – we can’t wait to come back.
The Klingert-Hall family (June 2018)
From the moment we walked in we knew we would have a wonderful time in your beautiful cottage. It has been perfect. We arrived very tired but are leaving relaxed and refreshed.
Richard and Ann (October 2017)
The cottage is perfectly set up for holidaying with a toddler. The lack of light pollution and quiet also meant that we all slept soundly. The cottage is a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. We shall be back!
The Lee family (September 2017)
Saw the Milky Way clearly last night. Woodpeckers, Nuthatch and Kite in the garden early morning. Thank you for a lovely use of your beautiful cottage.
The Smith family (August 2017)
We have thoroughly enjoyed another stay at Gellideg cottage. It is so quiet and peaceful here, and despite it being peak season, really feel ‘away from it all.’ The cottage provides a very cosy place to be on the wetter days, and cool on the sunnier ones! Home from home. Thank you.
The Cann family (July 2017)
"We had a lovely week, the weather was good, the cottage perfect, we really enjoyed ourselves here, thanks."
Dave, Carol and Ellie Mai, Southampton
"What to say! We rented Gellideg for two weeks, and the aim for us was to "chill out". The cottage answered all our requirements. We explored the area, undertaking many walks, local and coastal. We purchased local produce and enjoyed ready, steady cook nights using recipes from the cookbooks in the kitchen. To top it all we were blessed with glorious weather in our second week. The housekeepers were so welcoming and we felt so at home here. The cottage is so well equipped and we had a wonderful two weeks. Would recommend Gellideg 100%."
Peter and Liz Burrows, Devon
"Had a lovely week at the cottage, a great base for visiting all locations, both North and South coasts as well as out West. Saw dolphins out at Newquay and were also treated to an excellent viewpoint for a meteor shower from the back balcony! Loved the kitchen – the table saw lots of board and card games this week. Thanks!"
Gareth, Hilary & Caitlin, Pontypridd, Wales
"Thanks for an effortless stay – supremely comfortable, so well-appointed, and everything thought of! We enjoyed a week of good weather with plenty of family days on the beach, we enjoyed Penbryn. Breath taking views on coastal path walks. We recommend a trip to the gardens at Aberglasney which were beautiful. Great food at the Daffodil Inn. Perfect holiday, thanks x"
Wilson family, Cheshire
"The cool weather didn't prevent us from having a lovely week here in Gellideg, where the accommodation is excellent. Our every need is catered for and we would certainly come again. On one of the sunny days we sat by the waterfall at Cenarth and dined at the White Hart. It was nice to visit Mwnt again which we got to know a year or two ago. We enjoyed the Teifi Valley Railway, even if the halfway halt and walk to the "falls is a bit of an obstacle course. We had a nice meal at the Daffodil at Penrhiwllan."
Allan Gascoigne and Diane McNamara, Redditch
"What a beautiful, beautiful cottage. This cottage really does live up to its 5 star rating! We have enjoyed every minute and it has proved a wonderful place and good for your soul! We will definitely be back!"
Gill and Paul, Liverpool
"Above comment says it all – wonderful."
Jean and Martin, Liphook
"Great attention to detail has gone into this house, not to mention how child friendly the house is. It was an absolute delight to stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property to family and friends. Would definitely consider returning in the future. The only negative point was that we were only here for a week and there is so much to do. The garden is great at night to sit and have a drink and also have dinner. Thanks for a great relaxing holiday. "
The Dodds family
"We had such a wonderful week in this cottage. What a great location and the cottage felt like home but still like a treat. We particularly loved the fire and how child friendly the cottage is – especially with our toddler. There is so much to do nearby. Thanks for a lovely holiday stay in such a beautiful house."
The Carne family
"The cottage was perfect for us during our week at the Eisteddfod. It was lovely to come home to a warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere after long days at the Eisteddfod. Cwmhiraeth [the valley of longing...as in to return] is also the best name in the world for a valley like this."
"What a beautiful styled cottage, great attention to detail. We had a great time, thank you."
"Had a lovely stay at Gellideg, what a lovely cottage with everything you need for a quiet relaxing holiday. Weather was pretty good for Wales! Only rained a few days but were still able to go out and about. Saw dolphins at Newquay and found a lovely beach at Mwnt. Overall a lovely time was had, thank you."
Mrs & Mrs Woodall, Cannock, Staffordshire
"We've had such a lovely week in beautiful Wales and a part of that has been due to the feeling of 'coming home' at the end of each fun day. The cottage is absolutely lovely and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The quality of furnishings and all the little touches make it a really special place to stay. We'll certainly be recommending this cottage to friends if they are looking in Carmarthenshire. Thanks again!"
